Player Sponsorship
Season 08/09 - Max Porter
The BAA are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring
Max Porter’s home kit for the 08/09 season.

Porter, whose first senior appearance as a footballer for Cambridge
United in 2005, has
made nearly 100 appearances for three different clubs
including Bishops Stortford and Barnet.
Porter started his career at Southend United before making
his professional debut for Cambridge United. He then moved
on to Bishop's Stortford. His good form for the Blues resulted
in winning Player of the Year which then prompted Barnet boss
Paul Fairclough to sign Porter in May 2007.
After an indifferent start to his Barnet career, with spells
on the right hand side of midfield and a lengthy spell at
right back, Porter now 21 years of age, got his chance towards
the end of the season in his preferred central midfield roll.
By the end of the 07/08 season he had managed to improve
his performances and win over the Barnet faithful to become
somewhat of a terrace favourite by always giving 100%. Hopefully
this form will continue into the new season but the young
midfielder now faces competition from new signing Nicky Deverdics
from Gretna.
We wish the best of luck to Max and all his team mates for
this seasons push for promotion. Come on you Bees!
